Monika and Siegmar live since 1984 in Westhofen, the idyllic district of the former Hanseatic city of Schwerte. In 1988 our son Mirko was born.
Siegmar's hobbies are traveling by steam locomotive and railway photography. Monika enjoys listening to music, likes to read and loves science fiction literature and films. Together we are connected by the joy of traveling and hiking. We can no longer imagine a life without a dog!
Though our place is regularly mentioned in the traffic announcements with heavy traffic at the freeway-junction "Westhofener Kreuz", there is a nearly sleepy atmosphere in the center of our village. A lot of green plots, pretty old and new buildings and a natural surrounding amount to a high quality of living. Nevertheless, we do not live behind the moon. The cities of Hagen and Dortmund are only a stone's throw away.
Schwerte is situated in a very charming landscape nearby the Ruhr valley and on the edge of the Ruhr district. Customs and traditions are still actively practiced in the individual districts.
